Snow drifts endlessly Withered oak leaves on the branch Season of despair

I really shouldn't complain, Elle. It's January, and people here are boating on the river, walking with just a sweater for protection and no hat or gloves, enjoying mild weather. There's no snow on the ground to speak of, and it has been 50 F here most of the month.
So this frigid weather is just a figment ... let's hope the "mild" weather hangs in there.

LOL, welll.... I don't know about you, but the mildness (in weather) did not last! We had an ice storm Friday and got dumped with snow, too!! I thought of your poem, and thought your post script comments must have jinxed us! LOL.. I'm just kidding, but it is almost a relief to be back to having average weather and snow in January. It just didn't feel right to be having 50+ degree days in Jan.
