Ironic that I just posted "blinded by busy" a week or so ago, and then ended up going to the wake of the wife of a friend. He and his wife were getting close to retirement, and he had planned a MONTH long vacation with her for this year as their last child was exiting college. She felt slightly ill, went to the emergency and died 3 days later from something called septis. We don't get to chose our time to go. Regardless if you are young or old, look around and make sure you're spending the time you have wisely.
Take a Step Back
take a step back
and look at your life
do you know where you want to be?
is this where it's at?
it all goes so quickly
each year passing faster
take the time to revel
in life's little laughters
some go all too early
we miss them, we mourn
but we keep with us memories
to help our sojourn
I take from this a lesson
to live more each day
so tomorrow I can smile
as I look back on yesterday
and look at your life
do you know where you want to be?
