Words spewing, bounce off walls; unabsorbed by intended ears... too many unlearned lessons, growing older yet none the wiser, the epitome of wasted time; a butterfly garden overcome by weeds.

Sometimes we only can live by exhaling those words anyway, and then moving on to new ones that can be heard. Butterflies generally don't know a weed from a flower, they just know which plants they like to be around. Some weeds flower too. Not altogether a bad visual in this poem, just an unkempt one. I like it.

Thanks for reading, you two. Sometimes it seems I can only write from a place of retrospect, anger, turmoil, etc... is my muse negative??

Sometimes it's hard to write gentle because ego wants the attention of drama and interferes with the gentler muse whispers. I've struggled with the need for self importance in that way more than once - forgetting that life is in and of itself poetry. It doesn't always have to be high impact. I've let those issues chill my voice quite long enough, I'm ready to enter a different season I think. Maybe this is what's under your question, 'Elle. Maybe not. That's one only you can answer.
