Invisible:
I am invisible. seemingly transparent, if you were to reach out and touch me, your hand would go right through. underneath my transparent skin, deep inside, a heart is still beating, eyes still seeing, a mouth still speaking, and a mind still dreaming, all barely noticeable to you. I am dismissible in your eyes, close to being undeniably worthless. Your snide remarks, phony laughter, seething glances, make me believe all your morals have since faded. Who are you anyhow? I refuse to give in. I am no longer invisible, no longer transparent, I am solid.

It's so hard to love in a way that is not reciprocated. I've been there, for sure! I would say anyone that cannot see you, doesn't deserve to! They say those that focus on themselves cannot see anything else. That would be their loss--- it takes so much energy sometimes just to contemplate why people are the way they are. I find myself simply accpeting what I cannot change and stopping with the business of trying to. Either they do or they don't... maybe too simple of a philosophy, but truly, I am happier for having adopted it. It's hard to let go, no doubt. I like this expression & honesty a lot.

Wisdom? LOL, at times. I sure wish I could live what I believe all of the time, Solace! Your poem hits a nerve- no doubt. We are all vulnerable, even if we know better than to worry about what others say & do, we do. I do. I appreciate candor in poetry so much. You have an energetic presence about you.

The question is were you transparent or was the other party blind? Still, it's all in what you feel. The great part was in the end, after the kryptonite was removed from the picture.
