Compassion:
Something I wish I always had, Something the heat of the moment sometimes seems to steal, All is fog and smoke without it, All is heartache and broken foolishness in it's absence, Yet in it's light the mighty are forgiven, The joy is lived, Everything sails so much truer, Like glass twinkling, Not to be outdone, The light's presence is required, And terrible darkness only results in injurious error.

A pause-for-thought writing- enjoyed it's peaceful challenge. Wonderful read.

Thanks, 'Elle - I like to remind everyone what the best qualities in life are once in awhile.

Passion may reward us for the moment, and we will regret it soon. Compassion will reward us forever, and we will remember it always.
Good poem, thanks!
