If only I could find the courage to champion a hopeless cause, embark upon a lost crusade, seek glory in a daunting quest.
I see you ride the blue-green wave cresting on the white-cap foam, beyond the jagged swirling reef encircling my calm lagoon.
Today I brave the crashing surf, rip-tide current, shoals of shell. Will I be dashed on knife-edge rocks or gain the sea and sail with you?

Oh, my~ this is absolutely enchanting. I adore it!!! It's been a long time since a poem made me feel like this. A very tragically romantic piece of writing. Awesome!!
