february, valentine's day i do my best to avoid the red cliche too many comparisions of last year when i was happy and in love this year i'm alone biting my bottom lip saddened by the thoughts of that love now lost i'm not much for roses and chocolate this year... but i'll always be a romantic at heart

ME TOO!!! ...and for what it's worth, I don't believe in Valentine's day. I believe if you love someone, you should show them ANY day of the year.. or EVERY day of the year. How special is it really if you get the "expected" flowers on the "expected" day, along with everyone else? oh.. and btw.. you're not alone.. you've got US!! Ok, ok, not QUITE the same.. LOL Spoken straight from the heart Solace and I don't mean to make light of it.. just to cheer you up! Mike

This makes me want to send you a Valentine!!!! I agree with POS, romance is for the every day & to me these days, my hubbie doing a sink of dishes or cooking dinner for the family is as romantic as any roses or chocolates could ever be. Some guy is going to come in and sweep you off your feet- and you had better not settle for anything less! You're precious and deserve to be treated so every day. great title and poem, solace.
