paint by number love:
we are in a paint by number scene, a beginners piece of art, with its numbered hues cast about. vibrant orange and luminous gold to paint the sun, pale blue with hints of white cotton clouds for the sky, youthful green for the field with tidbits of pink and purple for the tiny flowers budding, fleshy peach for our skin, gold for your short military hair, chocolate brown for your eyes, pink for your lips that kiss mine so sweetly, mahogany for my long locks, ocean blue for my eyes that stare into yours, crimson for my lips that press against your own when the moon shows its face, apple red for the blanket on which we lay staring up at the wonderous paint by number sky, we are in this hanging work of art, representing the beginning portait of our love. i hope as our love grows, we'll progress to the abstract, where the art asks for a deeper meaning, and where our bodies and landscape are more than just numbers.

ooooohhhh.... well done!!! I love the correlations and comparisons--- works really well with the emotion of treading lightly! Wonderful work, Solace. There is a joy that your latest works convey that I have not previously read. It is inspiring!

Excellent work Solace. As Elle said.. it's a bit different look on love than usual.. I've reread this one many times.....trying to get a better feel for the emotions behind it..... perhaps less passion, but more comfort? ....or treading lightly as Elle says?
*goes off to ponder some more*
