All Your Sorrows

Come and tell me all your sorrows
even if it breaks my heart.
I too have secrets deep inside
where your love will never reach.

I pledge to you my life
as long as I am on this rock
but there will come a time
of neither time nor place
beyond flesh and blood
when I wander afar.

I cannot guarantee
that I’ll take you with me.
I may have to be free
to dive into the stars
despite their bright light
and scorching heat
and never return.

But here and now
I am yours completely.
Do not be afraid.
