why do people say goodbye turn away and not look back fade from view against the sky into forever's night of black
yes I know you need to grow spread your wings from end to end find out where the roads all go see what lies around the bend
I know you've changed and so have I the way we were won't be again the wanderlust shines in your eye my hopes to hold you back in vain
no matter what life holds for me no matter whom I choose as lover there'll always be a part of me I won't give to any other
I'll look for your face in the crowd hear your voice along the wind recall the way you laughed out loud feel your fingers on my skin
I will survive, and so will you our lives lie long before us yet we'll learn to trust and love anew our hearts will mend but not forget

Much enjoyed this piece, Ken. The last 2 stanzas in particular.
