an exploration into the aggression of love, written under the pen-name Simon Tolhurst
Letter of Affection
I beat you with a stick like the bitch you are and stand on stilts carved from the bone of your legs
from here I see you as meant to be, a bleeding, useless torso lashed and unable to crawl
I will keep you in a marble box next to the others
lovepoem I
my limbs were gorgeous now they’re worthless cinder and she scrapes resin from my bones because she can

The first is wild... wild, wild. That last stanza is intriguing. Hell, the whole thing is intriguing.
I like the 2nd best of the 2. Something interesting and endearing about the vulnerability there.

Thank you, Elle...the 2nd has always been a personal favorite of Simon and I.

The first piece scares me, especially the last stanza...I had visions of Jeffrey Dahmer! Remind me not to get on your bad (or Simon's bad) side.
I do see some vulnerability in the second piece; the last line especially gave me that feeling.

A daring dart from your dark side, Ramirez. Your images are clear and cold. They mesh well together, too.
