What are some of the writers' here methods of beating/ overcoming writer's block?

Hmmm...I get over writers' block by not believing in it. ;D Seriously, I rarely ever get it & sometimes have to slow my muses down so I can get it all recorded.
However, I do have times my muses are not in the mood for a particular genre. So, I bribe 'em with chocolate! Works every time...
Good question, Elle!

My buddy Biff carries a small hand-held voice recorder with him at all times, and talks into it whenever he has a thought or an idea. In this way, they don't vanish into thin air, and he gets home to his 'puter and acts upon them the same day. Sounds a little neurotic, but he says it works for him.

Oh, I like the bribing them with chocolate idea!! Comforts of all kinds help us to be relaxed & open, I suppose. And also the idea of simply not believing in it, whether it is real or a self-fulfilled prophecy, the thought that mind can conquer all appeals to me! Great thoughts, Grouchmuffin!
I don't think the tape recorder is quirky at all... smart!!! I cannot tell you how many songs and poems are lost on the highways of my brain wiring... just because I didn't write it or capture it down right then. I have a lot of dreams that I take into my poems, and I lose as many as I remember.
TERRIFIC IDEAS & dialogue, guys- thank you!
