So, gentle reader, do you prefer to write rhyming poetry, or do you express yourself without rhyme? Maybe you swing both ways. Tell me about it. Which do you prefer to write, and why?

Hi, Ken. Well, I write in all styles, mostly depends on how it comes to me.... sometimes it is two words together (and yes, sometimes they rhyme or just sound 'right' together) that inspire an entire poem. Other times, what I want to say happens in more of a prose or free-style flow. I like both, rhyming and not rhyming. For song writing, rhyming or at least words that have a similiar sound are crucial. A lot of song writers even use rhyming dictionaries. Poetry is such a 'defined' artform, yet an ambiguous enigma, too. The short answer is that I appreciate and write in all forms.

i two like reading both...there´s a mood and a time for each to be enjoyed by me
but when it comes to writing i do prefer non-rhyming... one reason simply is that i don´t feel myself being very good at rhyming...it limits my choice of words too much... and too...i prefer to write my poems as authentically as possible to what it is i feel and think inside...
clever rhyming is indeed quiet an artistry...as a child i even thought a good poem had to have rhyming...looking at my talent with it i´m just happy i´veoutgrown that opinion lol

I like to put deep thoughts in prose never in a rhyme perhaps I'll ponder more on this IF I have the time
