How did I get into this maze I’ve staggered now for countless days through hallways dark and chambers grim a labyrinth dank, drear and dim.
I hear his snuffling labored breath as he hunts me to the death the goat-horned clubfoot savage beast hungry for his human feast
Rats run squealing in the gutters Torchlight flickers, flares and sputters Panic rises, I choke it back as I stumble in the black
Now the choice has come to this behind me death, before, the abyss I turn to face impending doom then step back into the gloom
Down I pitch into the void onto the rocks to be destroyed amid the echoes of my scream I waken from my dreadful dream

Vivid and disturbing dream, Ken. I found interesting the use of the word "choice" in the 4th stanza there.... light versus dark? good versus evil?... intriguing!
