Good ol' Harry's Hot Dogs. This is one block from where I work - I took this shot on the way to the 7-11 last night to get a sandwich & a V-8. Sometimes I wish Harry's was open at night. This shot is SOOOOO Americana. I think Harry must be in his 70's or 80's if I'm not mistaken, and I wanted to get a shot of this while it's still there. I also JUST read a review on Harry's at yelp.com ( www.yelp.com/biz/-Aev5O4GkAG1zVKc4dRBTg#hrid:2xCV36AZ99oDSg4-GUWc8A ) saying that there is some developer trying to get city approval to tear down the building Harry's is in so they can have a private park for the building they're putting up on the other end of the block. From what I gather, Harry's has been here since the 1950's. Dan |
