Just saw this flick tonight before work at the Tivoli theatre in Downers Grove. (That place is way cool - one of the old stage play theatres with the pipe organ console that rises out of the floor at the corner of the stage - they play it instead of previews there) The film is about artists in 1970's East Germany a few years prior to the Soviet collapse. Writers, directors, actors, playwrights, etc. It's an interesting dive into what extreme state control of artistic expression can do to a country's most creative people and the art they produce.
