A special meal? Maybe breakfast- in-bed? Rose petals on pillow cases and in bubble bathes.... perfumed love notes? Some sexy music.. Marvin Gaye, Alisha Keyes, or groovey, mello music like Bob Marley? The song "No Woman No Cry" makes me weak in the knees.... I read all of your romantic and erotic poetry.... I know you guys have a sensual side! LOL... do share!

I don't believe in Valentines day.. lol.. but i'm a huge romantic..
Romantic Notions....
An unexpected surprise.. flowers, a poem, a small gift that you noticed your partner eyeing but not buying,
A favorite meal, a gentle touch, a backrub... rubbing feet, hot tub & wine, a walk hand in hand on a cold crisp night, hot chocolate in front of the fireplace, a note on your pillow

DON'T BEL:IEVE in St. Valentine Cupid-- wha??? lol.... well, I have no choice but to believe. I'm still bleeding from the arrow. I like the romantic notions, tho.... the massage & foot rub especially. Surprises and love tokens are special, too. Very sweet, POS!
and Happy St. Valentine's !

I didn't really plan anything major for that special someone in my life. I wish I would have after I found out what he got me...I just surprised him with homemade things like a picture of us in a picture frame, homemade cookies, candy, and a little stuffed animal holding a card. He, on the other hand completely surprised me! I came home to find a trail of rose petals leading to the center of the room where it formed a heart. In the heart ring, were a giant stuffed teddy bear (HUGE), a vase filled with a dozen beautiful roses, and another little angel teddy bear. The smallest bear was holding a card that read "A little angel for my little angel" Then I found another trail of rose petals on my desk where it lead me to my laptop. On my laptop was a beautiful poem that he wrote about me. It was soooooo unbelievably sweet!! I had never received such a wonderful surprise before, I started crying because of the emotion I felt. (lol) My Valentine's Day was great! Hope you all had a nice one too!

awwww...... hugs to daemona. I know other people that kind of don't get into it, either... strange, but my parents were actually married on Valentine's Day, but... are divorced, so that's kind of a bummer, maybe for them in their other perspective marriages. I don't know, they haven't really said much about it, but it would feel awkward, I would think.

For me, I ended up baking a spice cake with butter rum frosting, running him a hot bubble bath with rose petals all over the house, in the bath, just all around. Special candles burning... I bought him his special dark chocolates and a beautiful new tie. Oh! and an adorable baby doll with pink and red hearts for me to wear for him. It was romantic! We hadn't seen one another for 2 whole weeks because he had travel for his work! So, it was really sweet.

hugs back to elle... :-)
i mean it´s not as if i was totally unromantic...even if some say so...if i truely had a valentine´s day all after my liking i guess i would start with some nice warm cocoa in bed...cuddling to each other beneath the warm blanket...the early morning light softly shining in...and not so much doing or speaking at that time...just enjoying each others presence... after spending a few hours like that ;-) i would like to spend some time outside...having a nice walk through a forest or so, just being together and talking about god and the world....well you know what i mean...maybe a picnic (of course on my *perfect* valentine´s day there´s got to be perfect weather...yes a girl may dream right? lol). Oh and on our way back we would buy some ice cream...bringing out the child inside... ;-)
and home we would have a fun time cooking some lunch together and then we would enjoy it with some red wine (but only one glass for me),,,
and then we would have a nice hot bubble bath...we´d stay so long inside one might think we´d become mermaid and merman lol
and then we would cuddle on a carpet before the fireplace and let the day end like that....
oh presents? well i really think spending a good time with the one you love wether it´s valentine´s day or not is the true present indeed...it´s the thought that counts...i think a few roses maybe and kisses from a true heart are a thousand times more precious than some jewelry or whatever that is bought just so "noone complains"....if i want jewelry i can buy it...but love can only be received...
but well...i don´t think it would happen anytime soon...i guess there´s some kind of curse on valentine´s day for me...in my life there´s never been a valentine´s day, not a single one, that i spend with a guy lol sounds crazy huh? but it´s true...just before the day all my relationships somehow broke...it´s really like "oh valentine´s day is soon...oh then i´m single soon" lol
but well if that is so...then fine...i´ll just set my very own dates to do that ;-)

Some times, I'm sure they'd agree (to be lucky to have me) .... at other times, lol.. I am sure they don't feel so lucky! Especially before I've had my morning coffee!!
