awe....beautiful news elle I can understand you´re excited... and i like the names you´ve been considering...especially Claire... :-) my suggestions...well lets see... i always liked Benjamin...or david... i think i´m more creative with girls names though.... lol spontanously i would say: Semele, Asinoe, Megara, Aurora, Syene... i just love greek mythology and i think i would ike to give my child a name with a certain meaning...though most of those would certainly make a better second name i guess...and as first name have something less extravagant... for example Sophie, Isabelle or Eloisa maybe.... anyways my best wishes for you

How lovely!!! I love the name Rhiannon Noel if it's a girl. My parents almost named me Rhiannon!! (They love Fleetwood Mac) but they ended up giving me the name Megan after the character on Thorn Birds. ;D haha also for a girl, I like Leta, Lorelai, Veda, Tabitha, Chloe, Kylie. for a boy, Dylan, Wesley, Aidan, Kyle, Joseph. so happy for you!

That is absolutely wonderful, Elle! I know you're going to be a fine and loving mother. Name suggestions? Well...you've hit on mine in a way already. I've always loved Gabriella and Claire...and I've developed a liking for the name Caroline/Carolin lately. For a boy? Christopher or Christian come to mind...and my father's middle name was kind of unique, but I've always liked it - Lansdon.

Awesome Christmas present! I have a bit of a different suggestion for a girls' name: Serenata Noel. "Serenata" is Italian for "Night Song" - I was originally thinking of looking up the Italian translation for "Song Bird" but it just doesn't come across as pretty in English. "Chansonnette" is French for "Light-hearted song". "Trileanta" is Gaelic for "thrilling" or "Song of birds". Alternatively, Sarah Noel is very pretty, and Stevie Nicks' song has some pretty lines that fit.
For boys' names, I think you are already on the right track.
This is awesome news, 'Elle - you must be thrilled! What a wonderful new year you will have in the end.

Congrats, Elle! I know you'll be very happy.
As for names, it's very tricky to come up with some thing original and pleasing. No kid wants to have the same name as eight others in their first grade class! So I think it's an awesome responsibility... if you choose the name of a current screen heartthrob, for instance, it won't be unique.
Okay, I gotta suggest one for a boy, another for a girl. But I need to think about it. Like I said, it's awesome ...
Although I will make a suggestion soon, I feel you'll be proudest if you make the choice yourself!!!!
Happy New Year, Ken

Oh my~ you all are so good at this!! Daemona~ what great names! In fact, Isabella has been in my mind, Isabelle Aurora sounds lovely... I agree, I really love unique names that have meaning. Hugs to you for all the great names and warm wishes! Solace, I also love the name and it's roots. The Celtic sister to Rhiannon (in the book that Stevie based the song upon) was named Bronwen, which is also a gorgeous name. I appreciate your kind thoughts so much! David, I love the name Christian for a boy. I am also fond of the name Tristan for a boy. Thank you so much for your warm support. Awww.... thanks, Dan. I love the names and their meanings... thank you so much for suggesting such personal and unique names! I love it. Ken, well, lol.. I took the name Noah from my sister, whom has no children but declared to me one day that she liked the name for a future child... I asked her if she would be offended if I named our little guy Noah and she said she would behonored, and he is a Noah! Sometimes you can like a thousand, but only one fits just right and it'snot one that you had previously thought of. It is such an important thing, and one of the most fun, too!! Thank you, guys so much for all the love. This is a beautiful time in my life and I am happy to share it with you

WOOHOO!!! What a wonderful Christmas present.. Congrats Elle!! No suggestions on names... well, I am partial to ...ahem.. Michael.. but I'm sure whatever name you choose will be filled with Love. Hearing you talk about finding out around Christmas reminds me of the song "Christmas Carol". I get soooooo mushy every time I hear that song (don't tell anyone..lol)
WOOHOO!!

It may sound off the wall, but I always thought Clancy would be a good name. I think it would work for a boy or a girl. I don't think it's common right now, that's the trick.
When my daughter started school, I think there were five Jessicas in her class, and at least four Jasons. Hey, they're nice names too. She was the only Monika.

I love the unique spelling of your daughter's name, too, Ken. My youngest sister is Jessica.. and yes, it's everywhere. Clancy is cool, I like it. Like Tom Clancy. Our due date is moved up now to Sept.2nd... we'll see! We should know soon if it's a boy or a girl
