We spent the weekend in Wisconsin Dells, stayed in a beautiful place called the Kalahari- 2 waterparks on site, one inside & one out... I've never been down so many waterslides & rollercoasters in my life!! The hubbie & I were a bit sore & much in need of the hottub the 2nd day...LOL, but the kids had a BLAST! Actually, we ALL had a blast. I felt like a kid for the weekend, and it was just what the doctor ordered, I have been sick for a week, but somehow, the time & fun with family made me feel better for a couple of days.

Sounds like you had some well deserved fun and relaxation! We've never been to the WI Dells, but I hear there are tons of things to do and that the area is beautiful. Hugs to you-hope you are feeling better!

Hi Elle.. I was up in that area in June!! I'm from Minnesota and was up north with some friends, visited family in Mpls, then biked in Wisconsin.. Lake Mills, Jefferson, Dauscher area, then spent the following weekend in Chicago. That place you stayed at sure sounds like fun!! I LOVE waterparks. What IS it about waterslides that you don't get tired of them??

It WAS so much fun!! I'm a water baby, anyway.... but this was something else! We didn't leave until they closed @ 10 pm!! LOL... last ones out of the park even! There was this slide called the Master Blaster... it was a waterslide, but it used water to propel you like a rollercoaster, it was awesome! They sure have come a long way since I was a kid. All of the Dells is such a great family place. Kids love it, adults love it. The Kalahari is new, just built last year, I guess. It was lovely. The decor was all tribal, which I really loved. A lot of art in that place. We had been WAY north- Lake Flambeau area, the kids went to camp there for 2 weeks. It was a neat experience. Super expensive, but neat. I had never been to the Dells, except when my Dad played in the band there when I was little. I still want to go to House on the Rock!!
