Today, as I was hanging out my laundry on the back deck, a butterfly landed on my t-shirt, on my chest just below my chin. It was dusty gold, not especially beautiful as some more delicate butterflies, but I did get a close look at it as it flexed its wings just below my chin.
I guess it was lucky I don't freak easily over bugs. After maybe twenty seconds, it tweaked its antennae, beat its golden wings and fluttered off to who knows where.
I do have a soft spot for butterflies. Just thought I'd relate this close encounter to whoever's out there, thanks.

What a lovely experience with one of nature's beautiful creatures! If you love butterflies, you'd love my backyard. Behind my house there is a huge meadow and if you look out there, you will see tons of little butterflies fluttering around among the weeds and wildflowers. It's a joy to see. Thanks for sharing!

If you ever make it to Houston.. there is a butterfly museum.. What's interesting is that they're all LIVE butterflies. They hatch from coccoons, and they have different plants and climates throughout the building. They say if you wear bright clothing you'll have some land on you (I wasn't that lucky) but if you like butterflies... they just abound at this place.

The sun shone down from peerless sky into the tranquil glen. On sweet spring breeze flit butterfly this way and that again.
