Good morning, Elle and all...
I have a question. I realize the site is centered on poetry and other art forms, but what would you think about including a section for short stories and/or novels?
I realize I've been a member only a short time, and I surely don't want to step on any toes. Just a thought...

Hiya, David! You know, when I first constructed this site, I had a short story section.... it was never posted in or used, so I removed it. But, always I am open to change and growth, and if you think it is a forum of interest, then we can add it back, no problem! No ones toes stepped on, this site is all about the writers and making it a comfortable place for them to express. It's my honor to do just that! Always feel free to offer suggestions, no harm in that whatsoever. Consider it done.  |

Okay, it's all the way at the bottom. I would like to see all of the forums be more utilized. There are some neat items in all of them. Explore & post around, guys! |

I've been a long time gone, but I appreciate the short story & novel link! I wrote a novel last year & I'm cleaning it up now. Elle-can you e:me off-site w/ your email addy? I must have an old one saved, cuz the last couple of emails I tried to jet off to you bounced back to me. =(
As for poetry, I've been freestyling it. Went to the Spoken Word a couple months ago...same one I've gone to for a couple of years-the same one that had always been supportive in the past, and got dissed for being white & hispanic. Not ever easy for me to get up on stage, so I took it very hard and haven't been back. =( But, I did start a teen & PG-13 open mic with a couple of ppl from my writers' group-we are running 1 Sunday per month...the next one being May 15th. I've been writing a totally free, unfettered type of poetry that I'm really digging, but not sure if it is the style I want to stay with consistently.
A lot of changes in my life...right now I'm working 2 consulting jobs, and I'm just so busy, that writing hasn't taken a back seat...but it has defintely taken the passenger seat. And I miss it.
