Q1. What do you guys think of the Martha Stewart conviction and sentencing?
Q2. What is your opinion of the Kerry/Edwards democratic ticket?
Q3. What are the issues in this presidential election year important to you & will influence the way that you vote in November?
Q4. How has terrorism affected your life & the way that you live?
Q5. Have you been following the stories of human implants that contain personal information such as financial, medical, etc.?
Q6.What is your opinion of the use this technology? They are using this to keep track of repeat offenders & illegal aliens already- do you think that this will spread to become a prerequisite for all humans? Implanted at birth?
Q7.Do you think that this is the beginning of things prophecized?
Add a discussion on a subject that you feel strongly about (with #) and input (w#) on those already mentioned. All of these issues are potential hot buttons, but reasonable dialogue and open discussion are the only way to educate ourselves with all aspects and viewpoints. I value your opinions and look forward to the discussions to follow.

A1: I think the entire Martha Stewart "event" was the witchhunt of someone the government knew would garner a lot of publicity, to deflect the fact that so much corporate scandal (Enron, Halliburton, etc.) was going on with the endorsement of our top government officials. Have you seent he pictures of Bush with Ken Lay BEFORE Enron broke?
A2: I feel good about the Kerry/Edwards ticket. 2 intelligent, compassionate men that will get GWB out of the position he has never deserved.
A3: Iraq. How in the hell did we get ourselves into this MESS? I find myself thinking mostly of the 1000 men & women that have lost their lives.. and the thousands of people impcted by that... and the 5000+ soldiers that have been wounded over there. Where is that SOB Osama Bin Laden?? Afghanastan? Why haven't we done so well there, either ? It is my opinion that while democracy is a beautiful thing (not beaurocracy- democracy!!) That it is just as wrong for it to be INFLICTED upon the rest of the world. They have their own ways.. ways that they have had since the beginning of time... long before anyone even knew that the United States of America even existed. Let them live in their culture, while we live in ours. We are NOT the Big Bully on the playground, at least we SHOULDN'T be.
Other Issues concerning me: American jobs being lost faster than we even know due to companies trying to make a bigger profit and cut labor costs. American companies should have tax breaks for keeping the jobs here.
Foreign policy. Our image in the world has never been more shameful. Where are our allies? Are we going to take on the rest of the world?
A4. I fear for future of this great land of ours. I worry for the future of my children & the grandchildren I wont have for a long time yet. I pray that this war will never spill into the streets of America. I believe much of the root of terrorism was born out of hatred and rage over US foreign policy. For every action there is a reaction. ANYONE that could harm people they don't even know to try to make a point are obviously lost, confused, ignorant and without compassion. I am mainly talking about the terrorists here, but there are many countries in the world that feel that is exactly how the United States is acting with regard to it's military presence in places it is not wanted. We have all this money to be spending on foreign rebuilding and defending foreign countries, we can't even defend our own country with our military spread so thin. With the money it costs to keep this military presence around the world, we could be putting it toward irradicating disease and famine. Why is it that no one else in the world is supposed to have nuclear weapons, but it's a-ok for us to be building up our arsenol? Who do WE answer to?? Anyone have an answer to this hypocrisy?
A5. This 'technology' scares the livin' daylights out of me.
A6.For every system there is abuse. but even more than the fear of this being abused to garner control over the human race,I fear that this technology runs too close to the lines of the book of Revelations and the mark of the beast.
A7.Many current events (so much surrounding the sacred, religious regions in the middle east) natural disasters, the types of technology being developed (human identifying implants, cloning, etc.) remind me more and more that the world is ever-changing and not for the better. We seem to be spinning inevitably into darkness.
