The End...
They called it at thirteen Baktuns,
Couldn't see past another day,
Leaving the rest of us to wonder and worry,
Figure out if we should pack up and stock up,
Or just maybe give up,
Will it be a death ray from the center of the galaxy,
Or maybe a big rock from space,
Runaway global warming,
Invasion by aliens,
Global thermonuclear war,
Catastrophic tectonic plate shifts lifting up Atlantis,
Or some superbug from the swamps of Asia?
No one knows but the stars and the ghosts,
But we're having a blast trying to figure it out,
And I'll have my truck paid off two weeks before the end.
December 21st, 2012,
I'm betting the Bogey Man comes from another dimension to eat everyone.
