As you wonder what it all really means,
Spin the chicken bones and pick up sticks,
Does it really say anything at all,
Except that we're small and bigger things exist?
Everyone has a handle on the future,
Bestest guestimateitis,
We hurl through 2012 sweating it all,
Cracking jokes and sweet-talking oracles,
Rolling the runes and the dice.

*Note: Photo taken by Yours Truly yesterday, un-retouched in any way. This gigantic solar halo was visible over Lisle and Naperville, IL yesterday around Noon. It's caused by a high, thin layer of cloud full of tiny ice crystals, if the scientists have it pegged correctly. My bet is on the ice.
