The Spin Cycle...
Yeah, right, like I actually forgot,
I wonder in dread how Isaac will play,
Like bad fish and misogyny by the bucket,
I'm not there,
But I shiver inside at the thought,
Hoping they finally got the hatches battened right,
Flipping the bird at anyone who thinks they can spin a hurricane,
Praying where logic fails that everyone will be alright this time,
Without holding my breath.

NOTE: I watched what was going on last time on Twitter and online news for days. It shook my faith in humanity to its core - but it also showed me that half of us really do have hearts. I won't relate some of the things I saw reported online - many of you already know them - but I will never forget the people who tried leading in a convoy of 500 boats to help, or those who sent semi-loads of food, water, clothing, and medical supplies. I hope we get this one right.
