Faces that were once alive have turned to fleshless wax words that once had meaning are now empty and obscure
Smiles that used to beam now seem pasted on and eyes that danced with gleam now glare obsidian.
Friends who greeted me yesterday now turn away Doors that stood open for me are now shut in my face
Memories of love and friendship turn into impossible dreams Night after night is spent reeling from nightmare to nightmare
The world has become inscrutable.

Ken, this one is sad... and yet I FEEL where it is coming from. Things seem really whack these days, for lack of a better word... people are so heavily weighted down in their own troubles, everything is happening at once. Very good lines here, great writing. Soulful!
