Still True...
I've been a rocker, I've been a rocker, Since I ever knew.
I've been a rocker, Still am a rocker, Through, through and through.
It's been a long, cold ramblin' road, I've got a long way to go, Yet I've always been true, To Rock and the Blues.
I've heard 'em playin' all kinds of things, Crazy kind of stuff you don't even sing, Yeah, it's all kind of cool.
Mix up mash ups of everything, Fusion splashes from anything, I guess it's the creative thing to do.
I've been a rocker, I've been a rocker, Since I ever knew.
I've been a rocker, Still am a rocker, Through, through and through.
It's been a long, cold ramblin' road, I've got a long way to go, Yet I've always been true, To Rock and the Blues.
Music's richest era all-around, Got a thousand new types of sound, All kinds of things you can listen to.
When it comes to cases I know what to do, There's a certain something that's still true, Something burning deep inside me and you.
I've been a rocker, I've been a rocker, Since I ever knew.
I've been a rocker, Still am a rocker, Through, through and through.
It's been a long, cold ramblin' road, I've got a long way to go, Yet I've always been true, To Rock and the Blues.

Yeah Dan,
I hear my parents saying to me when I was into rock, how can you listen to that stuff, it all sounds the same.
Now I find myself saying the same words about the music my daughter listens to... not all of it, but it seems so angry ... Nickelback, Rammstein, yada yada.
Gimme the blues, old rock, psychadelic, acid, jeez even cry-in-your-beer old time country is starting to sound not too shabby. As long as it's not wimp rock, disco or the Village People, it's okay with me.

Thanks, Ken. I can listen to that other stuff somewhat - hey, why not, there's never been a more musically rich era in human history - but I always come back home to my staples.
Regards,
Dan
