I had the pleasure of hearing Elle sing this via wav file so reading it now I remember what I heard.

I like how when you sing the first lines you drug out the words 'fever' 'over' and 'number' That really emphasizes the desire and passion and heat of these lyrics and the song.

Can't wait to hear the music for this! It's very stripped down isn't it? Stand-up bass plucking and some drums hit with brushes for texture? That's what I heard in my head anyway.

You got it! It is very vocally driven (which a fair portion of my music is, simply because I mainly write music in piano, sometimes guitar, if I have help with my minor chords...lol but, yea, it's jazz, the piano is the main instr... slight percussion... the vocal is very "heady" and strong, and it has unusual timing for a jazz song. I will have to send you the instrumental on piano, lol, I have the vocal and instrumentation seperate becuz it is super hard for me to do both at the same time.. unless I can get it on cd or wav file while I have my Dad or one of the guys in the band playing it. OR, with any luck we win this talent contest and get studio time-- then I'll hold you a copy of a disc... lol, that is very wishful thinking, there are a lot of talented people in this thing. Thanks for checking it out again, Manders! I know you have read and heard it before. I will get some of my others posted soon. I am also working at hosting sound files, and being able to actualy post our sound files here... I think there are remote ways of doing that, I just haven't messed with that aspect yet.
I can't wait to read and hear you and Andy's stuff, too!!
