Sorry I'm getting this week's challenge up so late in the day (evening) but it's still Monday so NAH! A rubai is a four-line stanza with a rhyme scheme of aaaa or aaxa. If a poem consists of three rubais it is called a rubaiyat. Rubais originated in Persia and are also called Omar Khayyam stanzas. YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK: write at least one rubai and/or rubaiyat. Please post your works as new threads in this forum and feel free to comment on everyone else's offerings. I can't wait to see what you all come up with. If you have an idea for a challenge please let me know! Your feedback and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Miranda
