I confess, I screwed up and accidentally deleted the contest post. Oh well, no one was entering anyway. I'll put my poem up in another forum. If you were working on a poem, don't let me stop you.
It's just as well there's no contest, that's not the type of forum I would like to have. I felt I was putting pressure on folks. No good poetry can come of that.

Well, phooey! I was just coming to get going on mine.. I just hadn't been able to find the time 'til now! I don't think of it as pressure-- I think of it as encouragement to open the mind to wors, thoughts, progressions, etc.. challenges and contests get me thinking about poetry!!!!

I agree with Elle, i don´t think anyone felt pressurized bye your contest, actually i liked the idea
also i thought your poem was lovely and i was curious about other outcomes :-)
i started...and i have maybe one and a half stanza (yes i´m a hero right? lol)...but the rest just seems to take it´s time....slow in traveling i guess....

Keep going, Elle and Daemona. I'd like to see what you write.
I felt I didn't want to introduce the concept of competition in the forum, cause poetry's not about winning and losing. Why should one person's creation be "better" than another's? I see that mindset on other sites. I believe Elle wanted to avoid that approach when she created this home for poets.
So why don't we continue this little gig in the name of sharing and comparing rather than trying to "outdo" each other.
Shall I restart and repost my entry?
