I am the one you think you see leaning deep into the wind dwindling as I fade to snow black winking out to white yet etching my vivid image onto your mind’s eye.
I was the one you saw that day when you went walking in the wood as I stepped out from the trees only for a moment time and time again when you least expected no matter which way you turned.
I will be the one you think you have escaped hope never to see again when you look over your shoulder in fear and desperation tinged with morbid lust. I see your deep dejection.
I am the only one who sees through your deception.
Ken

WOW!! Interesting and riveting. I wonder if you have a short (or long!) story stemming from this piece. Super writing, Ken. I love many of the lines, excellent!!
