Does mankind ever sit back and wonder how close we are to the end? Tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, drought, famine, and plague Was it us that caused this wrath to on us descend? Through out time, it has always been said each generation will see the end. We are pushing our God to the edge And we all know his wrath can be vile Are we standing out on a ledge? Do we sit back and watch all this with denile? There has always been devastation through out time But it seems like now they are happening to often Do we ignore the voices of those plagued, wishing they were as silent as a mime? Devastation, tribulation all these things, to stop them must we beg? Armageddon, this word instills such raw fear But the arrogance of mankind, our fate has been set Listen to all the devastated voices! Are we so conceited we act like we don't hear? This old world is on the way to pay a tremendous debt. We hear about all the bad things, we say too bad, then turn away We don't really care as long as it doesn't affect us one single bit We need to pay attention to the signs of that upcoming day All of this old world's woes! Think about it!

Well, not to trivialize any disaster, but they have happened all through human history. Now that humans are so numerous, tragedies inflict much greater sorrow and loss of life. And we hear about every misfortune in the media the same day.
There have been events such as the bubonic plagues that wiped out 2/3 of Europe in the Dark Ages ... an asteroid strike that darkened the skies for lifetimes in the seventh century and caused millions to starve to death... and the killer floods in China since time immemorial.
Ugh. I guess my point is "Don't worry, be happy".
Have a nice day.
