Okay folks, due to popular demand, I am re-posting the challenge.
Compose a poem beginning with the first line,
As I was out a-walking.
No rules. Everyone's a winner.

Flowing Honey
As I was out a-walking in forest green and sunny, I heard a sweet voice talking in tones of flowing honey.
I cast my glance around to glimpse whence came the word, but could not place the sound. No one was seen, just heard.
“At last, I see you hear me. Our fates are intertwined. I beg you, please don’t fear me. I bid you, please recline.”
The day was hot, oppressive, my nerves were short and frayed. I welcomed a short respite, and laid me down in shade.
A weariness descended upon my fevered brow. An afternoon nap splendid seemed just the thing right now.
Fain did my eyelids rest when vivid dreams ensued. A maiden beauty-blest with soft hair flaxen-hued.
She bade me to come with her into her paradise, where flesh would never wither and every thought was nice.
As I rose to follow down the promised path, a cloud passed o’er the hollow, unleashed its awesome wrath.
Next moment, I awoke beneath the shady tree. The dream was gone in smoke for all eternity.
Since then I often wander, and look for that maiden fair. As I walk, I ponder. Could I be happy there?

As I was out a-walking, an astroid struck the earth, it took only minutes to realize that only minutes remained, I ran back to the place I claim as home, only to find everyone gone as I began to panic, a peace soon fell over me, as I understood I would be seeing those I love again very soon.
